but recently the parents give the foreign names to their children like Olivia, Alex etc :)

@luna05moon: Actually no, my name is Beata which is rare among young people :) I am 18-year-old and I don't know anyone who has the same name as me. My name is rather old-fashioned. :)
But my classmates are Olivia, Alex and Shirō (is it japanese by any chance? I was wondering). And my cousins are Lena and Lionel. :)

Old Polish names are getting more common like Jan, Rozalia, Zofia (Zosia) and also the ones taken from abroad. Those really typical Polish names aren't popular these days.
