Question about English (US)

I found sentence "it's been far"
I just know that "it's" is "it is", and "been" usually used on perfect tense, so,
is that "it's" is "it has"?
can i write "i has" become "it's"?
and how to differentiate between "it's" on "it is" and "it has"?
feel free to explain. Thank you, Regards. :)
