They’re very similar, “doing” can be used to future and present tense, while “to do” is future tense. Ex. “Would you be interested in doing a survey?” and “Would you be interested to do a survey?” means the same thing. “Doing” would be used in place of “to do” in context such as “What are you doing?” since it is present tense, but if it’s future tense, either one can be used.
