“Guess what“ doesn't have a German equivalent. We usually say “Dreimal darfst du raten, was passiert ist!“ or “Rate mal, was passiert ist!“ and as you see we already include the verb there and give a hint whether someone did something (Rate mal, was er heute getan hat!) or said something (Dreimal darfst du raten, was sie mir gesagt hat!), etc.
Therefore the translation would be something like:
Rate mal, was passiert ist! Etwas sehr seltenes ist passiert!
But that sounds strange because of the overuse of “to happen“ and no native would say that. In this situation I'd probably just say:
Rate mal, was passiert ist! (Guess what happened!)
That's not really a literal translation but in my opinion it's the most natural option in this situation.
