Hmmm, not always. It depends on the context. 
So for example, 비가 오니까*, 우산 가져가 Take your umbrella because it's raining. Here, it's used as "because".
여우가 웁니까? Is the fox crying?
Here, it's a question but ~ㅂ니까 makes it as a question not just with ~니까. Does it make sense?

You can always expect ~ㅂ니까 as a question and ~니까 as "because or since".
But ~ㅂ니까 sounds very formal.

Ok, we have two way of politeness, one is formally polite and the other is informally polite. So ~ㅂ니까 is the former which is usually used in military or in very strict atmospheres and and sounds stiff but ~요 is the latter and still polite and doesn't sound stiff.
So 여우는 어떻게 울어요 is not 반말 and sounds soft(?).

No, not really.  It's totally acceptable as long as you don't have any intention to insult people.
I personally find it kinda cute when they make mistakes in grammar or vocabulary and things like that. 😆

Let me add some to my answer. We usually use ~요 form (비가 오니까 우산 가져가세요* Take your umbrella because it's raining). 
You can still use ~요 form even in formal situations. I can't say it's always informally polite. 
So I recommend that you use ~요 form more.

뿐인 너 doesn't make sense. It's supposed to be "~뿐인 너" You should have a noun in front of 뿐인 너 for example 말 뿐인 너 you nothing but talking, which means you talk the talk but don't walk the walk. 돈 뿐인 너 you nothing but money which means you always think about just money.
