No sé si hay muchos criterios aparte del género en el idioma original (si existe). Quizá palabras que terminan con la letra a son muchas veces femeninos y los que terminan con una o masculinos. Normalmente tienes que aprender el género junto al palabra de todos modos.
Por cierto, yo digo "das Like“ (pero no suena incorrecto con “der“ tampoco).
