Question about German

I have noticed that when translating "a/the German man" into German, there is a difference between translating the word based on the indefinite / definite article: "der Deutsche" vs "ein Deutscher" (there is the "r" letter at the end difference).

Is there also this type of a difference in other nationalities? "a/the Czech man", "a/the Chinese man"?

Thank you.
