What is the difference between は and が?
Example: わたしはにほんごをべんきょうします。
Example: 私がにほんごをべんきょうします。

The difference is what emphasise you want.
が emphasises the subject, は does verb.
If you want to say I’m studying, not my mother, you should say わたしがべんきょうします。
If you want to say I’m studying, not playing, you should say わたしはべんきょうします。
