Question about Hebrew
I heard people greet saying "kida" at the beginning of Krav Maga class.
A friend of mine never came to Israel before but she loves Krav Maga, and keeps learning it in several other countries, and now all her classmates insist she has to say "kidam" instead of "kida" in the country where she now lives. And she asked me why. But frankly, I have no idea.
Which is proper? kida? or kidam?
And could you please give me the spelling of "kida" or "kidam"?

I don't do Krav Maga, but I would guess they're saying ״קידה״ (kida), which means "bow" (as in rhymes with now).

Thank you all! My friend was really happy she wasn't wrong after some years of practicing Krav Maga saying "kida".
I wondered because I thought "kidam" might be a plural form of "kida", or something like that. Thank you!!!
