Question about Morocco

Do people using a non-Latin alphabet must first learn the Latin alphabet to learn a foreign language? e.g. English, French, Polish? Or maybe everyone knows the Latin letters well and you only need to know the special characters? I would add that the same letter is pronounced differently in each language.
