@sasinap And how are they Thai? If they were born aboard, live abroad, speak foreign language, they probably are foreigners.

@Armmine have you ever heard of the term American-born Chinese or American-born Korean? I think it’s something along that line. Why would we ignore/neglect someone’s biological identity if they’re born outside of the country?
Well, after all i agree that we have to define ‘thai people’. If you exclude their races if they live abroad or speak other languages then i guess there is no thai person who can’t speak thai🤔 (and if we use your criterion then foreigners who born in thai and speak thai have to be defined as thai people too right?)

@sasinap If you call American-born Thais 'Thai people' this question should have never been asked in the first place, since the answer would obviously be 'YES'. Ones shouldn't ask such an obvious question, so I guessed what the OP meant by 'Thai people' doesn't include such people.
And yes, you can say that 'Thai people', by my definition, among other things, are able to speak Thai.
