низ – это нижняя часть: я посмотрел на низ платья; в самом низу страницы был написан её номер
дно – это именно конец нижней части в ёмкостях (бутылки, бочки, банки и тд.) и водоёмах (реки, озёра, моря, океаны) например: дно бутылки, дно реки
