It doesn't have the same exact meaning in English. It seems at times more positive in English: a sugar daddy is an older male (not necessarily extremely old) with money and perhaps even power, who dates younger women and gives them money or buys them gifts (un viejo adinerado amante o protector de una joven.) In Spanish, viejo verde sounds negative, and refers to an old man as creepy and perverted, who chases young women that do not desire him. In U.S. Mexican Spanish, a sugar daddy is a "papichulo." However, I would like to know what is the most common term used in Spain?

I'm not aware of any term in Spain, so you'll have to paraphrase as "viejo adinerado protector de una joven" or something.

I guess "viejo forrado" is the winner. Viejo rico doesn't sound too bad as well but it isn't as informal as viejo forrado. However, I find "viejo con pasta/plata" a bit funny but still doable.

I'm going to wait for a few more responses before closing this question just to see if there are any more slang terms related to this term. I appreciate the help from the both of you. :)

We don't say "viejo forrado"or that kind of stuff, just keep it like "sugar daddy"
- Spanish (Spain)
And "viejo verde" means a really old man with interest in girls underage
