Question about English (US)
I've heard a Japanese person say like this: “If you use the word maybe at the beginning of the sentence, it sounds tacky and Japanese English, so don’t use it!”
What do you think about this? I’ve heard a lot of Americans say the word maybe at the beginning of the sentence so many times, so I’m just curious. As for me, I use it a lot!

I use maybe quite a lot at the beginning of my sentences, so I don’t really think it sounds tacky.
