"Viejo" means "old" in standard Spanish. However in Latin American spanish it can also be used as "guy" or "dude" in English. We even have a well-known meme from Drake & Josh TV series, it's known as "Oye, tranquilo viejo", haha

yep! But...
"viejo" equivale a decir "dude(english)" o "amigo(spanish)"
I hope this helped =)

Could it be a way of calling your father (mi viejo) as well? (I think I've heard you calling your parents "mis viejos" before...)
- Spanish (Spain)
@Mecko Yes, that's also possible. Although you'll hear it more in shows than in real life 😅
