“Within 6 hours” would mean that it is closing sometime in the next 6 hours (anytime from now to 6 hours from now)
Closing “for 6 hours” would be the duration of the event from start to finish and the total amount of time the street is closed.

@kdjec16 Depends on if the street is going to be closed down or the festival itself is ending. The original phrase would be correct if the street itself is what is going to be blocked or closed to traffic.
