I think I understand, but for some reason it sounds a little awkward.

1 - is the most grammatically correct, I think. because SPOKE is a verb, and ANGRILY is an ADVERB (modifying a verb). "ANGRY" is an adjective.. which would modify a NOUN.
OF COURSE.... many people just speak 'the way people talk". . in that case, I would re-write your sentence as...
"he spoke to me WITH A MUCH MORE ANGRY TONE , than usual"
OR: WITH A MUCH ANGRIER TONE than usual.
or: he seemed ALOT MORE ANGRY THAN USUAL, this time when he talked to me
... if you want some other ways to say it.
