The most natural way in my opinion is to say, "I was just laying on my bed." I don't think most people include the word down when the say it naturally.

When you say “just”, it is past tense. I was “just” means very recently like a few minutes ago. Because it is past tense, it is lying not laying. Laying is present tense.
