"prescription glasses" sounds a bit strange to me, not something I would hear often. I think I'd only hear that in a situation where someone wanted to emphasize and make it clear the glasses are not only for looks/style. I think 99% of the time, in everyday conversations, people just say glasses, just my opinion though.
