The first sentence would definitely more natural. In the first sentence, the listener can already assume it’s your money that you’re trying to save, so you wouldn’t have to add a “my”. But either can be understood, so you can use either! :)

I would say I canceled my subscription to save money. :)
Americans prefer to say "canceled."
English people prefer to say "cancelled."
