No, it's not weird at all! And no matter what your name is, if you meet anyone thinking that your name is weird or who doesn't understand why you've been named like you have been, that's a warning sign and you should tell them to respect all the beautiful names out there! :)
There's also a Finnish female name "Salli". I wonder if Sally and Salli share the same word root?

Yup yup, Salli is the Finnish version of the English name Sally! Just looked it up.
