一个村子中，大家都种稻米。某一年，一家种西瓜，获利是种稻米的3倍。全村人看到后就都模仿一起种西瓜。结果第二年的时候西瓜太多，市场消化能力有限。西瓜滞销，便宜卖也卖不出，只能留在家里烂掉。全村人都穷了。
