Если это притяжательное местоимение, обозначающее принадлежность лицу или чему-нибудь, то оно имеет форму "его", например:
его лицо, его дети, его книги, его собака.
Второй вариант - это личное местоимение употребляется с глаголом, например:
люблю его, интересую его, позову его.
Если же это личное местоимение употребляется с предлогом (союзом) как указание на определенное лицо или предмет, оно приобретает вид "него", например:
Кроме него, никто вам не ответит.
Мы сели напротив него.
Открыли сарай, а внутри него ничего нет.
Я стану в очередь после него.
Без него моя жизь пуста.
Возле него кипела бурная жизнь.
Саша шел домой, а сзади него пристроилась бездомная собака.
