Question about English (US)
¿por qué cuando tratas de insultar a alguien (ejemplo : you fool , you idiot) se agrega el "you"? es decir , cuando yo veo "you fool" entiendo más por "tú tonto" y no "tonto" , por ejemplo cuando una persona insulta a otra persona diciendole "you bastard" y no solamente "bastard" ¿por qué se le agrega el pronombre "you"?

Sometimes we say "You fool", "You idiot", "You bastard" or "You moron". Other times, we just say "Fool", "Idiot", "Bastard" or "Moron". Adding "you" is just an intensifier. It makes the accusation more personal, but isn't required.
