Question about Finland

Hi. Is it much better to visit Finland in winter than in summer?
I'd like to go to Finland, but currently I only have summer as an option. I'd like to go to such places as Kaldoaivi or Kasivarsi, so do I really lose a lot, visiting them not during winter? Is it possible to see the northern lights during summer? And are there some other aspects, like maybe in summer insects are too bothering?

In my opinion Finland is much better in the summer because I don’t enjoy snow that much, But if you want to come for the winter aspects like northern lights then Winter might be the better option for you. It depends on what kind of things you want to do while you’re in Finland.

i think it is fine both ways if you're going north. There isn't a guarantee of snow anywhere else. Summer in the north is also very beautiful, but we don't always have the best weather. A thing you should consider is that lot of tourist attractions are also open just for winter months. And yes, mosquitos are very annoying but you will survive.

To be honest, Finland is so beautiful on every season. The air is so fresh, the nature so beautiful, them lakes are so refreshing.

Especially on winter when they make man made hole on the lakes where you can swim nd warm sauna is ready after the cold dipping.

There's lots of activities on summer, whether it's a long forest hiking or just enjoying the cottage life (renting one) and riding bicycle through Finland. Lots of things to do.

Northern parts are so beautiful in winter and summer time. Search for things you like and travel there whenever you can.
