You can actually say "Merci pour ta réponse" or "Merci de ta réponse". The difference between those two is rarely clear, but I would advise you to use "de", which is the only correct form when followed by a verb : "Merci de m'avoir répondu".
You can also say "Merci à toi/Merci à lui/Merci à elle/Merci à vous/Merci à eux/Merci à elles" to put emphasis on the one who helps you.

you could also say « je vous remercie de m’avoir répondu. »
