I think you meant *chunk* and *clump*. ("Chuck" is a verb that means "to throw". "A clamp" is a type of tool. )
"A clump of something" : I would use it to describe something sticky, e.g. soil.
"A chunk of something": to me, is a piece of something, can be of any texture.

@Mirai55 I agree that you may be thinking of a different word for one of those; Chuck and clamp are not at all related.
