Kinda (kind of) means that you are vaguely or roughly describing something.
"As if it were the last straw for your mom"
"It's like it was the last straw for your mom"
"I was kind of sad when I broke my phone" (but not really sad. It's just a phone)
"He looks kinda like Antonio Banderas" (He looks a little bit like Antonio Banderas)
"Kind of" is slang, and "kinda" is even more slangy.
