Question about English (US)
"Today, I taught one more classes than the number I was told to teach."
Help me. I don't think the sentence above sounds natural. Can you make it sound natural for me? What I want to say is that I was told to teach five classes this morning. But I ended up teaching six classes. Thank you!

It actually sounds pretty natural! Notice when you say “one more” you don’t add plural to the word class though.
You can also say “today I taught one more class than the number I was supposed to teach”
