Fortunately, there are also the kind of people in Finland who think outside the borders of their own country ... 😉
I like the cultures of Southern Europe and the family oriented southern people, the Mediterranean climate 🌴😎🌴 , the landscapes, the history of the South, etc.
I disagree with @omma - stereotype quotation: -" More corruption and bad budgeting, which means Finland needs to spend money in order to save them from their own messes".
I think that Finland is doing quite well on it's own in all kinds of economic stupidity ... And yes, there is all kinds of lawlessness and corruption in Finland too ... Finns just don't want to see it up close when they can blame someone else.
People from European countries are valued more in the Finnish labor market than those who come from more distant foreign cultures.
You can get a job if your language skills, education and / or work experience are suitable for the job. And there are sometimes international jobs in Finland too, where the language requirement can be, for example, English, Spanish or something else. 👍

I don't think we think people in Southern Europe a lot.
Some stereotypes:
- Good food
- Warmer climate (nice places to travel to)
- People with darker hair and eyes
- More family-oriented and louder people
- More corruption and bad budgeting, which means Finland needs to spend money in order to save them from their own messes
- Older cultures
- More conservative (and religious)

@omma Do you think that finding work in Finland as a citizen of southern Europe can be difficult or is there not a prejudice when hiring? I ask this question because I have heard that there are some countries in Europe where there is a certain prejudice when it comes to hiring people from the southern area
- Country or region Finland
Umm, I don't think so. I wouldn't say there is a special prejudice against Southern Europeans. But then again I'm a white Finn, so I haven't experienced any prejudices like these myself, so I'm not the best expert.
Ofc it can be hard for all foreigners who don't know the language or whose name is not Finnish or whose educational background is different, to find work here, unfortunately.

@Sevet-Tsafon If I speak Finnish and have a good academic level, is there still some kind of discrimination because I am from Spain or will I be treated normally in most cases by people and bosses?
- Country or region Finland
Yeah, my comment about the corruption etc. doesn't mean that Finland is perfect or that what I said is the truth or my opinion, it's just one stereotype there exists, unfortunately.
I don't think you'll face any discrimination especially because you're from Spain, we don't have anything against Spaniards. But as said in that article I linked, even people from Denmark can have troubles finding work in Finland due to multiple reasons, BUT that doesn't mean that foreigners can't find jobs here. I don't want to sound too disencouraging or depressing. Just saying that there are several things that can affect finding a job in Finland as a foreigner but being especially Spanish is not one of them. :)

@omma I understand your point! I really want different sides of the same reality to know what it is like. Thank you very much for the clarifications! You say that being especially Spanish is not a problem to find a job. But, with which European countries are there more prejudices?
- Country or region Finland
@catalma
If you speak Finnish and are academically well educated, your citizenship does not matter in itself.
However, it must be borne in mind that often when applying for a job, the application criteria can be unnecessarily strict in relation to the complexity of the job itself and there are many applicants. The person who best meets the criteria is, of course, selected for the job.
Unfortunately, there are always some idiots to be found ... But as a rule, if you get a job, you won’t experience discrimination in your job just because you’re Spanish.

@Sevet-Tsafon Oh, entiendo, ¡Muchísimas gracias por las aclaraciones! me alegro que no haya tanta discriminación por parte de la mayoría en ese aspecto.
