In English there is just one word to describe them. Aunt means “Hala and teyze” , uncle means “dayı and amca”. However in Turkish they also give information about whether he/she is from mother side or father side. So Dayı is brother of mother, amca is brother of dad. Hala is sister of father, teyze is sister of mother.

Teyze is the sister of the mother.
Hala is the sister of the father.
Dayı is the brother of the mother.
Amca is the brother of the father.
Also we generally call our mother’s friend as teyze if her age is enough to be our mother. And amca is for the father’s friend.
But it is generally. If a man is very close to your mother, they are like sister and brother you can call him as dayı too.
