If I may share my experience, I went out (shortly) with a Japanese guy. One day I complained to my (also Japanese) friends that he wasn't sending me enough text messages... (😁) To which my friends answered by explaining to me a Japanese proverb (that's what they told me, can a Japanese person confirm ? ^^) that would translate roughly like this : "You don't give bait to a fish you already caught", meaning it's useless to send texts and make efforts to seduce a girl you are already going out with... So from this story, I would say "No!" haha. 😆
(Note : it was still a fun and lovely time. ^^)
