There‘s no difference when saying
„Wollen wir das zusammen/gemeinsam machen“
You can use both then although „zusammen“ might be more common.
When saying two people are together as a couple then you can only use „zusammen“
Sie sind zusammen = They are a couple
When saying you have the same friends or sth similar then you can only use „gemeinsam“
Wir haben gemeinsame Interessen/Freunde/Talente ... =we have the same interests....
All in all I‘d say that whenever you would use the word „together“ use „zusammen“
Whenever you‘d use the world „similiar/equal/common use „gemeinsam“
In the context of doing sth together you can use both zusammen and gemeinsam
