elephant : I'll rescue the duck who is in danger. Does this sound natural?

I teach my three-year-old daughter English by talking to her in English sometimes. I'd like to know natural expressions. I'd be grateful if you could teach me some.

Natural
"I'll rescue the duck, who is in danger," is definitely correct, though you could also just say, "I'll rescue the duck," because "rescue" implies that the duck is in danger already.

A little unnatural
More important: that's not a duck. That looks like a pelican to me, or maybe a seagull?

Thank you everyone!
>mattl
As you put, it might not be a duck.
However, I don't know what animal it is. Hehe.
