Question about English (US)
Do I have an accent?
Do I have an accent?
Ok, I know that everyone has an accent, but I’m curious what other’s think. Some people say I do but others don’t. I’m not going to say where I’m from (all you get to know is that I’m American) because I want to see if people who don’t know me and who don’t live in the same place I do (and therefore don’t consider any accent I may have “normal” and as a result don’t perceive it)can perceive a distinct accent. The passage I am reading is designed specifically to target the different accents of American English.
