Do you feel more nervous about going to a country where the same language is spoken compared to domestic travel?
I'm Japanese, so I'm nervous about going abroad because Japanese is only spoken in Japan.

I feel nervous when I have to buy things/go shopping in Japan, but it's fun :)

Yeah, it does make me nervous but I think there’s ways to get around without being fluent in their language. Wherever you go, I’m sure there will be nice people to help you as well :]

@nikeno_ I don't get as nervous when I go to other English-speaking countries (though I've only been to Canada).
I am nervous about being spoken to in Japanese and not understanding ^^/ (even though this is a natural part of learning a language)
