it's more than many French people don't speak English very well. but for those who do, I don't think they don't like it. But it's always appreciated if, before coming to France, you know some basic words - no need to be able to understand poetry of course 😂

私はプロフェッショナルの英仏翻訳家なのに、アメリカ人と一緒に英語で話すと、冷や汗が出るほど緊張して、自分の発音とイントネーションが気になってしょうがないです（笑）
かっこよく聞こえないのがネックで、自分をかっこ悪く見せたくないのがフランス人が持っている気持ちだと思いますね～
