What does そう長い時間ではない mean?

英訳を見たら、「もう残りの時間は多くない」、「そう長い時間は残らない」という感じですが、
日本語はそういう意味でしょうか？
「そう長い時間ではない」はどう理解するほうがいいのでしょうか？
原文を見る限り、ただ長い時間を否定するような気がしますが、
教えていただけると幸いです。
