avoir besoin de: need
ex:
j'ai besoin de lait
I need milk
devoir: should, must, have to
ex:
je dois acheter du lait
I have to buy milk
- French (France)
Avoir besoin de: to need
Devoir: must (duty)
Exemple:
- je dois faire mes devoirs
- je dois te dire au revoir
- j'ai besoin de préparer ma valise
- j'ai besoin de riz pour cuisiner
- French (France)
- English (US)
avoir besoin de = need
devoir = must (have to)
Sometimes you can use either one :
il a besoin d'apprendre le français parce qu'il va habiter en France = he needs to learn french because he is going to move to France
il doit apprendre le français parce qu'il va habiter en France = he must/has to learn french because he is going to move to France
but sometime you cannot :
De quoi as-tu besoin ? = what do you need ?
Tu ne dois pas parler aux inconnus = you must not speak to strangers
Other examples :
j'ai besoin d'aide = I need help
tu dois m'aider = you have to help me
- French (France)
Avoir besoin de = to need something / to need doing something
Devoir = to must, to have to
