I've heard WHILST is more formal. If I use it, will I sound clever or like a grandma?

Whilst and while are very similar words. Almost like synonyms. Examples:
âI want to go out whilst itâs still sunny.â
Using the word âwhileâ in this sentence doesnât make too much sense.
âI want to have biscuits while my tea is coolingâ
Use while in this sorts of sentence more.
Using any would also be ok. However, they still have a slight difference. Hope this made sense đ
