Why do some people pronounce 了 as (liǎo)? I know that it is be pronounced liǎo when used in words like 了解, but I've heard people pronounce it as (liǎo) when it should be pronounced as (le).
Ex: 我已经讲了 (woyijingjiangliao)

Actually, we seldom pronounce it as “liao” when it is used as a particle. But in some lyrics the singer will pronounce it as liao to make the song sounds better. At least during my 22-year-long Chinese life, I haven’t heard anyone use 了 in this way.
