"I might make you get down" is always taken literally. You will make someone lower his or her height.
"I might get you down" is always metaphorical. It means you'll make someone sad.

This could also be physically
She saw her kids climbing a tree and yelled for them to get down.
They didn’t listen so she grabbed them by the foot and pulled them down getting them out herself.
For the mental version you remove “get” from I might make you down
