Question about English (US)
Suppose two apparently irrelevant events happen at the same time, but is seems that there is something wrong and your common sense cannot accept that it has been just a coincidence.
Is there any idiom/phrase that can convey this meaning:" something is not compatible/acceptable by one's common sense, there something wrong rationally in this coincidence! "
(in other words, I want to say this doesn't make sense.)

"This can't be a coincidence." It's not an idiom but it's the most common way to say this.

Oh, I see. Thanks for your reply, rb612! :)
So, can I say:
"That makes no sense, it can't be a coincidence, there is something fishy!"
or;
"It's not compatible with common sense, that can't be a coincidence, there is something fishy!"
