1) No because the tap water is fine. Some people do (more likely to have a filter than an entire purifier, tap water isn't dangerous in the UK) but I don't see the point.
2) I would just call it "purified water" or "filtered water". Whether it's actually "pure" or not depends on the exact purifier.
3) Nope. I don't see what disadvantages there would be, honestly, but I don't purify water so it doesn't matter to me anyway.
