The sound of some videos sounds to me like it's kind of.. not echoing but maybe the room makes it like the sound comes from a barrel.
It it just me that feels that way?

Wouldn't it be otherwise if they speak in a different room so it wouldn't make a barrel sounding audio?

Yeah, this video has a strong echo. They also have pretty thick US Southern accents which might make it more difficult for you to understand. But not everyone has nice audio equipment or knows enough about filming to know to move to a different room 🤷🏽♀️
