@3rf4n not quite- Great Britain is the biggest island. Northern Ireland is in the U.K. but not in Great Britain. At the olympics, Northern Ireland athletes often compete as part of an all-Ireland team. So you see Great Britain there.

The UK is the official name of the country which includes the semi-autonomous regions (also called countries inside the U.K.) of Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Great Britain is a name given to the Island of Great Britain (or the British Isles)
