@dorami-09 As a native speaker, I don't think the word "request" is as serious as what you were taught. I think it's closer to the Japanese 頼み.
The English word you are thinking of where you can't tolerate disobedience is "order".

@dorami-09 It can be, but it depends on the context. If you are using the word "request" in while working in an IT company for example, then yes it is serious since it is related to work.
But if you are using request between friends, then naturally it's not that serious.

When I post, I do so without expecting anyone to reply back at all. You should not ask unrelated questions as if it's a trade. If someone wants to reply, they will reply whenever they can. I do not need to be the person to answer all of your questions either.
