Fred was crowned king on the 1st of July

On the 1st of July Fred officially became the king, and he probably went to a ceremony where a crown was literally placed on his head as well.
The baby’s head is crowning = during a birth, the top of the baby’s head (only the top) can be seen
The press crowned Elvis the king of rock and roll = the newspapers said Elvis was the king of pop and he became known by this nickname
