Question about Korean

멍멍이, 야옹이 = These are animal names that come from the animal's sound, right? I know they mean something like "doggy" and "kitty" but in a more literal way they are like "woofer" and "meower", right? And the word 부엉이 comes from "부엉" like the "hoot" sound. Does 개구리 come from 개굴개굴? Are there a lot of animals named this way in Korean? Are there any examples of more of these kinds of words (doesn't have to be animals)?

I want to learn about the etymology of Korean words like this.
