Question about English (US)
Hi, can I add ‘in peace’ to ‘get some rest’ such as
“I hope you get some rest in peace”
or can I say
“I hope you get some rest peacefully.”
I am not talking about a remark at a funeral, but talking about a daily conversation. Please help me. 😊

I would just say "I hope you get some rest."
don't say "rest in peace", that sounds like death. "rest peacefully" is not much better.

No you can't. I don't think you need to use peacefully either it makes it sound strange. Maybe
"I hope you can rest peacefully." Or "I hope you can get some peace and quiet."
Peace and quiet doesn't have to mean sleeping and can mean relaxation or napping.

@an-0ko88n So, can “I hope you can rest peacefully” be used in a daily conversation, not only for the deceased? 😅
